Yesterday, the price of gold in euros set a new historical record. And this despite the fact that the real crisis in Europe has not yet begun. Now we can observe factors that create ideal conditions for a further increase in prices for yellow precious metals.
On Monday, gold futures on the COMEX Commodity Exchange traded at $ 1,537 per ounce, which corresponds to 1385.49 euros. Until that moment, the record value was the level of 1381.26 euros, which was fixed on September 28, 2012.
There are currently no apparent reasons why gold cannot grow further. According to analysts, the crisis in the Eurozone is still brewing. This will be facilitated by the policy of the ECB, as well as the government crisis in Italy, not to mention the debt problems in the European banking sector.
The global price of gold in US dollars overcame technically important barriers over the past few months and continues to maintain an uptrend. Market indicators in the economy continue to deteriorate. Bank deposits no longer generate interest income. Sometimes you even have to pay extra for storing money in European banks. Under these conditions, gold is becoming an alternative means of investment. Therefore, investors in precious metals can be confident in the continued growth of yellow precious metals, including those denominated in European currency.
