Munich gold dealer, Pro Aurum, constructed a festive show-stopping Christmas tree out of 2,018 Gold Vienna Philharmonic coins. It’s topped with a giant 20 ounce glittering gold coin star worth 2.3 million euros, the firm said. These large gold coins might look like the foil-wrapped chocolate coins many children get for Christmas, but these are the real deal: solid gold.

The total weight of the $2.6-million installation exceeds 63 kg. It is noted that the three-metre high tree took over an hour to assemble and will be on display at Pro Aurum’s Munich office from December 3 until December 15. It is the most expensive tree in Europe according to the information of press release. You can easily visit the office of the company and admire this Christmas beauty. By the way, the tree is under the security control.

This Pro Aurum promotion is devoted to upcoming New Year celebrations and 825 years’ anniversary celebration of the mint.

However, Emirates Palace hotel, the luxury Abu Dhabi hotel, has unveiled what is thought to be the world’s most expensive Christmas tree, valued at more than $10m. The 13-metre fake evergreen tree is located in the hotel’s lobby, and is decorated with silver and gold bows, ball-shaped ornaments and small white lights.
