 India is one of the largest consumers of gold along with China. At the end of the last 2020, the country imported the minimum amount of the yellow precious metal over the past 10 years. It's all about quarantine restrictions. Bloomberg reports.
According to the available information, the total import of gold at the end of the year amounted to 275.5 tons. Thus, last year was the worst in terms of this indicator since 2009. For example, in December, 55.4 tons of gold were imported to India - an increase of 18% compared to December 2018.
